Milky Way Planner runs entirely in your browser. There's no account system and no server-side database — the location and date you enter are never sent to or stored on a server we operate.

Location / ตำแหน่งที่ตั้ง

Coordinates come from what you type, a preset city, or your device's GPS via the browser's Geolocation API (only if you tap "My location" and allow it). That position is used locally to compute the Milky Way's altitude/azimuth and is not transmitted anywhere by this site.

What's stored in your browser

Two small values in localStorage, purely so the app remembers your choices on return visits:

• mwp-lang — your Thai/English language choice
• mwp-settings — your last-used location and scan settings

Both stay on your device. Clear them any time via your browser's site data settings, or by clearing localStorage for this site.

Shareable links

The "Share this plan" button builds a URL that encodes the latitude, longitude, date and timezone you entered (e.g. ?lat=&lon=&date=). Anyone you send that link to can see those values. Don't share a link if you'd rather keep that location private.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to see aggregate traffic — pages viewed, approximate country, device type. Google sets its own cookies for this; see Google's privacy policy for how it processes that data. We don't use it for ad personalization and don't sell or share data with anyone else.
